Quality Control Inspector (CWI / ASNT VT Level II)

Locations: Wausau, WI

A leading U.S. structural steel fabricator is hiring multiple QC Inspectors to support bridge and heavy structural fabrication across its high-capacity plants. This role ensures all welds, materials, and assemblies meet code, specification, and shop quality standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform visual weld inspections, dimensional checks, and verify WPS compliance
• Monitor welder qualifications and support production with real-time QC decisions
• Maintain QC logs, assist with Total Station measurements, and coordinate hold points

What You Need:

• CWI or ASNT VT Level II (required)
• Strong blueprint reading & welding code knowledge
• Fabrication/steel shop experience preferred

Compensation:

• $38/hr – Standard CWI
• $42/hr – With MT/PT/UT
• $45/hr – With MT/PT/UT + NACE Bridge
• Overtime: 1.5× after 40 hrs, 2× after 50 hrs
