Welding Inspector

Job Purpose: Inspect and verify all welding activities for piping fabrication and installation, ensuring compliance with ASME IX, API 1104, and SABIC welding standards in live refinery brownfield environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (WPQ)
• Witness welding activities and verify compliance with approved WPS
• Verify welder certification and qualification records
• Conduct visual inspection of welds per ASME V and project specifications
• Coordinate NDT activities and review NDT reports
• Maintain weld traceability and joint identification records
• Verify pre-heating and post-weld heat treatment compliance
• Inspect welding consumables storage and handling
• Review and approve weld repair procedures
• Maintain welding inspection records and weld maps
• Coordinate with Piping Supervisor for welding sequence
• Ensure compliance with hot work permit requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI Welding Inspector certification
• 5+ years welding inspection experience in KSA oil & gas
• Refinery piping welding inspection (SABIC/Aramco)
• ASME IX and API 1104 code knowledge
• NDT coordination and report review experience
• Brownfield welding inspection experience
• H2S and hot work certification
• Transferable Iqama

Preferred:

• SASREF or SABIC refinery welding inspection experience
• ASME V inspection certification
• NDT Level II certification (RT, UT, MT, PT)
• Familiarity with Aramco welding standards (SAES-W-011)

Pay: ﷼10,000.00 - ﷼16,000.00 per month
