Welding Process Engineer (Automotive) #35660

A Japanese automotive parts manufacturer in the Toledo, OH area is currently looking for a Welding Process Engineer to join their team!

The main job duties are to plan and design welding processes. This is a full-time and direct-hire role.

Welding Process Engineer Responsibilities:

• Plans, designs the welding processes and ensure the quality
• Selects appropriate welding methods and materials for the best quality of outcome
• Creates technical documentations
• Makes sure and audits the compliance with codes, standards, and safety
• Orders materials and tools as needed
• Supervises welders and overseas welding operations
• Other duties as assigned

Welding Process Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in welding engineering, metallurgical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, etc.
• Experience in welding engineering, welding operation
• Experience in CAD software
• Good communication skill (verbally and written)
• Good organizational skill
• Technical knowledge related to the construction field activities
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
