Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wellness Director to lead and oversee wellness programs within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical care, management, and patient-centered services, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for residents. This role requires a strategic thinker with leadership skills, comprehensive medical knowledge, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. The Wellness Director will be responsible for developing care plans, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a compassionate environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive wellness and care programs tailored to residents' needs.
  • Supervise nursing staff and care teams, providing leadership and ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Oversee case management activities, including resident assessments, care planning, and documentation review.
  • Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Monitor patient health status through regular assessments and coordinate medical interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize resident outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, state licensing requirements, and healthcare policies.
  • Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage while maintaining quality care delivery.
  • Oversee budgeting related to wellness programs and resource allocation.
  • Lead staff training initiatives focused on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation procedures.
  • Foster a positive environment that emphasizes resident-centered care, safety, and well-being.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in critical care, assisted living, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings.
  • Demonstrated management and supervising experience within healthcare facilities or senior living communities.
  • Strong knowledge of EMR systems, medical records management, and documentation review processes.
  • In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and case management principles.
  • Experience with nurse management responsibilities including shift management and patient monitoring.
  • Ability to develop effective care plans aligned with resident needs & Medicare guidelines.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaborative working environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in budgeting and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of home care practices and familiarity with regulatory standards governing healthcare services for residents’ well-being.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
