About the Role:
AmeriCloud Telecom Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Wi-Fi Data Analyst to support our growing portfolio of enterprise-grade Wi-Fi testing projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of Wi-Fi measurements, especially through Ekahau tools, and an eye for interpreting network performance trends. The analyst will be responsible for evaluating field-collected data, identifying key issues, and preparing detailed reports and slide decks for one of our key clients.
You will be working remotely and collaborating with a field team based in the U.S., analyzing Wi-Fi data collected from diverse venues such as stadiums, arenas, corporate campuses, and retail locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Wi-Fi Data collected using Ekahau (Sidekick and/or Pro) or other data collection platforms from field teams.
- Perform heatmap evaluations, spectrum interference checks, AP placement analysis, and identify coverage or capacity gaps.
- Identify network irregularities or anomalies such as dead zones, signal overlaps, co-channel interference, or excessive roaming events.
- Provide performance improvement suggestions based on findings — e.g., AP relocation, channel plan adjustments, band steering.
- Use a predefined PowerPoint template to create professional-grade client-facing slides that include:
- Venue overview
- Key observations and findings
- Screenshot snippets of Ekahau heatmaps
- Recommendations and summary comments
- Ensure rapid turnaround on analysis — preferably within 1–2 business days after data is shared by the field team.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation of all deliverables for each venue/project.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Prior hands-on experience with Ekahau (any of Ekahau Pro, Sidekick, Analyzer).
- Proficiency in Wi-Fi performance interpretation: RSSI, SNR, throughput, AP coverage, spectrum utilization, etc.
- Strong skills in PowerPoint, ability to create clear and visually engaging slides.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on actionable insights.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- High responsiveness and accountability to project timelines.
Preferred:
- Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer (ECSE) certification.
- Background in wireless network engineering or RF planning.
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade Wi-Fi deployments and best practices.
- Experience working with U.S.-based telecom or enterprise clients.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Compensation: Per-project/venue basis or fulltime.
- Schedule: Flexible, but ability to turn around work within 24–48 hours of receiving data is required.
