Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 18–20 years of expertise in the design and engineering of substation/switchyard structures and wind turbine foundations. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, drainage design, and general civil works related to energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and detailing of civil and structural components for electrical substations/switchyards (AIS/GIS).
- Design wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations (both shallow and deep types), considering geotechnical and dynamic loading conditions.
- Interpret and review soil investigation reports, assess soil bearing capacities, and suggest appropriate foundation systems.
- Prepare and review structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, PLAXIS).
- Develop detailed drainage design, grading plans, and stormwater management systems for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with geotechnical consultants, architects, electrical/mechanical teams, and construction teams for design integration.
- Ensure compliance with Indian and international codes (e.g., IS, Eurocode, ACI, AISC, IEC).
- Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Conduct technical reviews, value engineering, and participate in cost optimization studies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and design methodologies.
- Participate in site visits for preliminary assessment, technical clarifications, and construction support as required.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proven expertise in foundation and structural design of switchyards and wind turbines.
- Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction and geotechnical principles.
- Familiarity with hydrological and drainage engineering.
- Proficiency in design tools: STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, SAFE, PLAXIS, MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and interface with multidisciplinary teams.
Educational Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred)
