Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install windows and doors according to specifications.
• Prepare openings by framing with metal studs or wood trim carpentry, ensuring proper fit and alignment before installation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and secure materials during installation processes.
• Install glass panels securely within frames using caulking techniques to ensure weatherproofing and insulation.
• Hang doors and windows with precision, ensuring smooth operation, proper locking mechanisms, and aesthetic alignment.
• Conduct fabrication of custom components as needed to meet project specifications or unique architectural requirements.
• Perform heavy lifting safely while handling large glass units or door assemblies on construction sites.
• Read and interpret schematics or technical drawings to follow detailed installation procedures accurately.
• Apply locksmithing knowledge for lockset installation or repair during door setup.
• Complete fixture installation including hardware, trim carpentry, and cabinet or remodeling components when required.
• Maintain safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or in confined spaces.

Requirements

• Proven experience in glass installation, door hanging, framing, or related construction roles.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work comfortably at heights or in confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to window and door installation projects.
• Mechanical knowledge of lock systems, electrical components (if applicable), and metal or wood framing methods.
• Construction site experience with a focus on remodeling or new builds preferred.
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and insulation purposes.
• Familiarity with metal stud framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinetry work or electrical experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
