Job Title: Product Design Engineer – Schematics
Job Description: Wiring Harness
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Wiring Harness schematics in line with project and regulatory requirements.
- Define and select connectors, fuses, and related electrical components based on system requirements.
- Develop and maintain CAN topology and ensure alignment with vehicle electrical architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Interpret and implement engineering standards, design guidelines, and MB norms and processes.
- Support system-level understanding of ECUs, control systems, and electrical/electronic functions within passenger cars.
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating future technological advancements such as High Voltage and Battery systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1–5 years of overall industry experience in Wiring Harness Design & Development.
- Strong technical expertise in Wiring Harness schematic design and development.
- Good understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, ECUs, control systems, and CAN topology.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, and PREEVision.
- Awareness and experience with PLM systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and global cross-functional teams.
Qualifikationen
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
- Post Graduate qualification in Design / Electrical / Wiring Harness is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
- Awareness of future technological advancements in Wiring Harness development such as Battery and High Voltage systems.
- German language skills and experience working on global projects.
- Experience working with MB norms, standards, and processes.
