Job Title: Compliance Intern

About the Role
The Compliance Intern will support the Compliance function while also gaining a broad, hands‑on understanding of the various transversal compliance domains that operate across the BNP Paribas group. The placement is designed as a learning‑focused experience, with the opportunity to rotate through key compliance domains, work on real‑world projects, and receive mentorship from senior compliance professionals.

Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in monitoring regulatory developments (AML, sanctions, data‑privacy) and notifications received from the DFSA
- Support the team any associated regulatory tasks or reporting.
Know Your Customer
- Participate and support the Compliance team in the Customer Due Diligence process.
- Performing enhanced due diligence as required by the team for scenarios with heightened AML/CFT risk, including exposure to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), adverse information, sensitive or sanctioned jurisdictions, financial security incidents and opaque client structures.
- Document findings and suggest improvement opportunities.
Transversal topics & project/s
- Draft summary reports and/or update real time
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for compliance activities. Assist with internal reporting as per requests from the team.
- Assist the Compliance team in the DIFC Sharepoint 2.0 project
- Support team on transversal Compliance topics related to Professional Ethics , Protection of Interests of Clients domains , notably on associated reporting, statistics , updating logs etc.

Details
Education
Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related).
Language
Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French proficiency is a plus.
Attention to detail
High standards for accuracy when reviewing documentation
Interest in compliance
Demonstrated curiosity about regulatory environments and ethical business practices.
IT skills
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 , notably collaborative platforms like Microsoft SharePoint.
Team player
Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable communicating across functions.
