Responsibilities

• Develop original design concepts for apparel or visual marketing materials that resonate with target audiences
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create detailed sketches, illustrations, and digital prototypes
• Collaborate with product development teams to translate design ideas into tangible products through garment construction and pattern making
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through production, ensuring designs meet quality standards and deadlines
• Incorporate color theory, fashion styling, and merchandising principles to craft visually appealing collections and displays
• Conduct trend research within fashion retail environments to stay ahead of industry shifts and customer preferences
• Prepare detailed technical drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for manufacturing specifications

Requirements

• Proven experience in fashion design, graphic design, or related creative fields with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) along with CAD software for technical design work
• Knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation for prototype development
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes from concept to production
• Strong understanding of color theory, fashion styling, and merchandising strategies within the fashion retail sector
• Ability to illustrate ideas effectively through sketching or digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator or specialized fashion software
• Experience with theater costume design or set styling is a plus, demonstrating versatility in visual storytelling
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and merchandising
• A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines
