Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise production lines at the highest practical efficiency. This includes working with employees and management to develop production schedules, coordinating regular inventory inspections, and managing the movement of material in and out of the work area. Resolve operating, scheduling, and production issues as needed. Must be able to report production status and issues daily.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure on-time production.
  • Work with maintenance teams to coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs, and ensure machinery, equipment, and work areas are maintained properly.
  • Participate in new hire orientations, employee training, ongoing coaching, and reinforcement. Apply and uphold human resources, safety, and related policies.
  • Prepare required operating reports (e.g., work hours, production levels) and oversee ongoing training to ensure quality standards are continuously maintained.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, excelling in teamwork, firm but fair.
  • Good technical aptitude with strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of plant processes.
  • Knowledge of nesting software (a plus) and SolidWorks (a plus).
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Proven safety and quality record.

Required Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience required (furniture manufacturing or related field).
  • 5–10 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Internet tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • General knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
