Wood Painter - Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of painters and helpers on-site
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily painting activities
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and finishing schedules
• Ensure proper surface preparation, priming, and painting techniques
• Inspect work to ensure high-quality finishing standards
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades
• Monitor material usage and request paints, tools, and supplies
• Ensure proper mixing, color matching, and application of paints
• Enforce safety procedures, including use of PPE and handling of chemicals
• Train and guide workers to improve skills and productivity
• Ensure work is completed on time and within project requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or relevant technical certification (preferred)
• Proven experience as a Painting Foreman or Senior Painter
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to read drawings and finishing specifications
• Leadership and team management skills
• Good attention to detail and quality control
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and chemical handling
• Physically fit and able to work at heights if required
