Woodwork Engineer

Description:

The Woodwork Engineer is responsible for the engineering, coordination, and execution of woodwork and joinery works for construction and interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in wood engineering and proven experience in GCC countries , ensuring high-quality delivery in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and detailed woodwork/joinery drawings.
• Supervise and monitor woodwork fabrication and installation activities on-site.
• Ensure all wood engineering works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements, and technical documents related to woodwork.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to joinery and wood finishes.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
• Coordinate factory production schedules and site installation programs.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, material estimation, and cost control for woodwork works.
• Participate in inspections, snag clearance, and final handover.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Wood Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in woodwork/joinery, with mandatory GCC experience.
• Strong background in wood engineering , joinery works, and interior fit-out projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects within the GCC.
