WordPress Custom Developer

Red Feather Tech is seeking a WordPress Custom Developer with strong expertise in custom theme and plugin development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building scalable, secure, and performance-optimized WordPress solutions from scratch, rather than relying solely on page builders.

Experience with Laravel will be considered a strong plus, especially for API-driven and custom backend integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Convert Figma/PSD designs into clean, responsive, and well-structured WordPress themes.
• Build custom functionalities without over-reliance on third-party plugins.
• Optimize WordPress websites for performance, security, and scalability.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
• Develop and customize WooCommerce features as per business needs.
• Debug, maintain, and upgrade existing WordPress websites.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Follow best coding practices, security standards, and version control workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in WordPress custom development.
• Strong expertise in custom theme and plugin development (must).
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Solid understanding of WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, and REST APIs.
• Experience with WooCommerce customization and eCommerce workflows.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization, caching, and security best practices.
• Experience using Git / version control systems.
• Laravel experience is a strong plus (for custom APIs, admin panels, or backend services).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
