Job Description: WordPress Website Developer – MEEPLECON (Mumbai)

About MEEPLECON MEEPLECON is India’s premier board gaming convention, bringing together enthusiasts, families, schools, colleges, and industry stakeholders for a celebration of tabletop gaming. We are seeking a skilled WordPress Website Developer to manage, enhance, and maintain the MEEPLECON website, ensuring it serves as an effective platform for information, engagement, and ticket sales.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

• Develop, customize, and maintain the MEEPLECON WordPress website, ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
• Design and implement responsive website layouts that align with brand guidelines and provide an optimal user experience across all devices.
• Create, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and user engagement.
• Integrate third-party tools and APIs as needed to support marketing campaigns and event features.
• Ensure website security, perform regular updates, and implement best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize website performance for speed, responsiveness, and search engine visibility (SEO).
• Utilize digital marketing tools like Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth website operation.
• Conduct regular website testing and debugging.

Collaboration & Content Support

• Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure the website effectively supports marketing initiatives and event promotion.
• Assist in the management and updating of website content, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide technical support for website-related queries from the marketing and event teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar web development role.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development and customization.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end development (PHP).
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for gaming or events is a plus.

Pay: ₹9,539.66 - ₹18,000.00 per month
