Wordpress Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic, user-friendly websites using WordPress. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, a good design sense, and the ability to convert ideas into functional and visually appealing web experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using themes and plugins.
• Build custom themes, templates, and plugins as needed.
• Convert Figma/Adobe XD/PSD designs into responsive WordPress layouts.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, plugins, or server compatibility.
• Maintain website security, backups, and regular updates.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, content writers, and marketing teams.
• Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility.
• Manage hosting environments and perform website migrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, including custom themes and custom plugin development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, Divi, etc.).
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals, website optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with hosting environments (cPanel, Plesk, Cloud hosting, AWS, etc.).
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce setup.
• Knowledge of React, Vue, or headless WordPress.
• Understanding of security practices (firewall, malware scanning, hardening).
• Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to UI/UX principles and graphic design tools.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Relevant certifications in WordPress or web development are a bonus.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
