WordPress & WooCommerce Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress & WooCommerce websites
• Create custom themes, child themes, and custom plugins as required
• Configure and customize WooCommerce for advanced e-commerce functionalities
• Implement responsive designs, page builder layouts (Elementor) and custom UI components
• Optimize website performance, speed, SEO structure, and code quality
• Manage payment gateways, shipping integrations, and API integrations
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues & bugs quickly
• Ensure website security, backups, and ongoing maintenance
• Collaborate with designers, digital marketing team, and project managers
• Maintain documentation and follow development best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years professional experience in WordPress & WooCommerce development
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with custom theme & plugin development
• Familiarity with Elementor, WooCommerce hooks/filters, and REST API
• Knowledge of SEO-friendly coding & website performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with hosting, cPanel, DNS, SSL, and site migrations
• Understanding of UX/UI principles & responsive design
• Version control knowledge (Git) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-vendor plugin setups
• Experience in UI/UX tools (Figma/Adobe XD)
• Knowledge of WordPress security & caching plugins
• Exposure to Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is an advantage

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
