Job Purpose
To act as the official receiver of work permits under the Aramco Work Permit System (GI 2.100 or equivalent), ensuring that work activities on site are properly authorized, safe, in compliance with relevant codes, procedures, and permit conditions, and that all pre‑requisites (hazard recognition, safety measures) are satisfied before work starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and acknowledge all issued work permits (hot work, confined space, electrical isolation, line break, etc.) before work begins.
- Ensure all permit prerequisites are met (e.g., hazard recognition, lock out / tag out, confined space entry, gas testing) in accordance with Aramco’s General Instruction (GI) 2.100 and relevant SAES / SA‑TIPS. Meo Group Intranet+2Neom Consults+2
- Confirm that the permit is valid: correct scope, authorized signatures, durations, safety precautions, resources (tools, PPE, manpower, etc.).
- Coordinate with issuing authority, safety departments, operations / maintenance / site supervision to resolve any discrepancies in the permit.
- Monitor that the conditions under the permit are maintained throughout the working period. If conditions change (e.g., hazard, access, environment), initiate re‑validation or re‑issuance as required.
- Ensure that all parties involved (contractors, subcontractors, site crews) are aware of and understand the permit conditions and safety requirements.
- Maintain proper records of permits received, active permits, permit closeouts, renewals, revalidations.
- Participate in site inspections / safety audits to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
- Assist in investigations (if needed) related to incidents arising under permitted works; provide documentation and cooperate with Safety / HSE team.
- Ensure that site is returned to a safe and acceptable condition after permit‑ended work (cleanup, securing equipment, removal of hazards).

- Valid Iqama / work permit status in Saudi Arabia (if expatriate).
- ARAMCO Card / ID and valid vendor / employee code.
- Physically able to access site and inspector’s walks.
- English language fluency; Arabic helpful.
- Must be ready to respond / mobilize quickly.

- Percentage of work activities started only after permit receiver acknowledgment.
- Number of permit‑related incidents / non‑conformances.
- Time delays due to permit issues (how many and how often).
- Number of permits revalidated / renewed correctly.
- Compliance with permit close‑out and site restoration after work completion.
