Work-Study or Student Human Resources Office Assistant

Our Human Resources and Payroll Department is seeking two student employees who are organized, detail-oriented, and ready to jump in on a variety of projects while helping you develop your communication, organization, and professional skills in a welcoming campus environment.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Human Resource/Payroll Department as needed while maintaining confidentiality and presenting oneself in a professional manner

What You'll Do

  • Assist with Perceptive Content to include, but not limited to, scanning, routing, linking, or verifying documents
  • Provide basic office coverage such as answering phone calls, mail, front desk duties, etc.
  • Assist in gathering data for special projects and/or surveys
  • Assist with Records Retention by following retention guidelines
  • Assist with annual processes such as ACA, W-2, and 1095-c
  • Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing, which may include reports and queries
  • Provide customer service both internally and externally. May include answering employee inquiries and responding to requests (pay stubs, W-4, copies of W-2), assisting in Department special projects such as updating job descriptions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated positive customer service skills, and the ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds.
  • Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office, email, and electronic calendar (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and handle interruptions.

BENEFITS
Compensation: $16.hour.
