Espinoza Law Group — a growing and dynamic workers’ compensation and immigration law firm — is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager to join our team in Montebello, CA.
This is a non-attorney/paralegal support role responsible for managing workers’ compensation cases, assisting attorneys, and providing exceptional service to injured workers.
The position is primarily in-office, with hybrid work available after training and based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active caseload of workers’ compensation files from intake through resolution.
- Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates, gather information, and ensure excellent service.
- Request, organize, and review medical records, reports, and bills.
- Draft and prepare WCAB forms and correspondence, including:
- Applications for Adjudication
- Declarations of Readiness
- Objections and Petitions
- Letters to adjusters, defense counsel, and medical providers
- Track all deadlines, QME appointments, treatment status, hearings, and filings.
- Coordinate depositions, interpreters, and litigation support services.
- Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, and supporting documents for attorney review.
- Maintain accurate case notes in the firm’s case management system.
- Support attorneys with settlement preparation, including demand packets and rating documents.
- Ensure clients feel supported, informed, and guided throughout their claim.
Qualifications
- Min 2 years of workers’ compensation experience (case manager, legal assistant, paralegal, or claims assistant).
- Knowledge of California WCAB procedures, medical terminology, and workers’ compensation timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent client-service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and drafting skills.
- Comfortable working with digital case management software.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (written and verbal).
- Passion for helping injured workers and serving the community.
