Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Summary:
We are an AmLaw 200 firm with multiple offices in major cities in the United States. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team in the Atlanta metro area for our Workers Compensation practice group. This team is rapidly growing with a strong, growing book of business, and this is an excellent opportunity to become a partner track candidate due to opportunities already in place for the right, motivated individual.

The ideal candidate will have experience in discovery, especially depositions, motion practice, and ideally have at least some litigation experience at the trial level. At least 1-2 years experience in insurance matters is a requirement for consideration for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Maintain billable hours as necessary
- Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision
- Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association where practicing
- 1 or more years of experience working in a law office or similar legal environment (Clerkships for Judges in State and Superior Courts will also be considered)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with the Georgia Civil Practice Act along with relevant matter handling experience is necessary

Pay: $87,500.00 - $105,000.00 per year
