The ideal candidate is a Florida licensed attorney with 5-10 years’ experience in insurance defense and workers’ compensation as they will be expected to defend high exposure workers’ compensation claims. Medical deposition, hearing/trial and litigation docket management experience is required. The Staff Counsel will be responsible for all aspects of the workers’ compensation case, including but not limited to, evaluating the merits of a
workers’ compensation case, providing guidance and counsel through effective communication, medical review and negotiating, settling, and litigating cases, if necessary.
The successful candidate should possess strong negotiation and communication skills, a firm understanding of Florida workers’ compensation law, an ability to handle a large caseload, and effective leadership skills.
