We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including case intake, document review, and file organization
- Conduct legal research on workers' compensation law and related regulations to support case strategies
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, reports, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Interview clients, witnesses, and medical providers to gather relevant information for case development
- Review medical records and other evidence to assess case viability and prepare summaries for attorneys
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress and resolve issues efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on workers' compensation law or related legal fields such as personal injury law or litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw, LexisNexis, and related databases
- Familiarity with legal case management software like iManage and PCLaw is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and reports
- Experience in conducting interviews, proofreading documents, transcription, and managing contracts or legal filings
- Proficiency in data entry, document review, filing procedures, and general administrative tasks such as phone etiquette and clerical support
- Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, patent law or other specialized areas is a plus but not required
- Strong research skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work performed
