Meet with staff teams to understand current processes and pain points

Help evaluate future AI and workflow automation opportunities

Demonstrate professionalism and reliability

Internship Structure

Duration: 10 weeks

Hours per week: 30 hours
Learning Opportunities: The intern will gain hands-on experience in:

Qualifications

Be enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical school, or graduate program; OR
-
Be participating in an approved workforce development program

Demonstrate an interest in nonprofit, community, operational, or professional development work.

Interest in technology, process improvement, AI, or workflow automation
-
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel)

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff

Self-starter who enjoys learning and experimentation
-
Experience with Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or similar tools is a plus, but not required
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a curious, analytical, and mission-driven intern to help explore and implement workflow automation opportunities across the organization. This role will focus on using Microsoft Power Automate and related Microsoft tools to streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve staff and member experiences.
The intern will work closely with operational leaders to identify repetitive tasks, map workflows, and prototype practical automation solutions that improve efficiency while supporting the YMCA’s mission and culture.
