Workshop Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workshop Engineer to oversee operations in our steel fabrication workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the fabrication and assembly of steel structures and components, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day workshop activities, ensuring fabrication jobs are completed on time and to specification.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication plans.
• Plan and allocate tasks to fabrication teams, welders, and fitters.
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to ensure fabricated components meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Implement and maintain safety procedures and protocols in line with industry standards.
• Liaise with other team members to ensure job accuracy and material availability.
• Assist in troubleshooting fabrication or assembly issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to workshop staff.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, material usage, and labor hours.
• Capable of taking measurements at Site and making AutoCAD drawing.
• Salary will be decided as per the experience.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in steel fabrication or structural metalwork.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding standards, and steel grades.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations in a fabrication environment.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery, plasma cutting, and welding processes is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
