- Supervise daily workshop operations and allocate jobs to mechanics/technicians.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure all repairs meet company and manufacturer specifications.
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
- Plan preventive and routine maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order replacements, and track usage.
- Coordinate with procurement, fleet, and operations teams for seamless service.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate workshop staff to improve efficiency and technical skills.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, costs, and workshop activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on workshop performance, costs, and productivity.
- Support management in attracting and retaining new customers for the workshop by offering excellent service standards and exploring new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of petrol, diesel, Heavy equipment's and hybrid vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and workshop management systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate between technical staff and management.
