Workshop Manager (Wood, Aluminum & Steel Fabrication)

Our contracting company is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to oversee and lead our wood, aluminum, and steel fabrication workshop. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical expertise and solid experience in managing multi-discipline fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations for wood, aluminum, and steel fabrication activities.
• Lead and supervise workshop teams to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of all fabrication work.
• Review and ensure compliance with technical specifications and approved drawings.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for workshop machines and equipment.
• Coordinate material requirements, inventory levels, and align with the Procurement Department.
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and address any operational risks.
• Improve workflow processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Project, Engineering, and Finance departments.
• Prepare regular reports on production status, manpower, equipment performance, and quality.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years' experience managing wood, aluminum, or steel fabrication workshops (experience in all three is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing.
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams within a workshop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of safety standards in industrial workshops.
• Proficiency in computer applications; experience with workshop/ERP systems is a plus.
