Workshop Supervisor

Manages the daily operations and personnel of a workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, project completion, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include planning maintenance schedules, assigning and supervising technicians, ensuring equipment is maintained and safe, managing inventory, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational and business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate workshop staff, provide on-the-job training and support, and conduct performance reviews.
• Operations Management: Oversee daily activities, plan and schedule work, ensure task completion within timeframes, and maintain efficient workflow.
• Safety & Quality: Enforce Health & Safety policies, ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and conduct quality assurance checks on completed work.
• Maintenance & Inventory: Plan and schedule maintenance for machinery and equipment, monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies, and order new materials as needed.
• Technical Assistance: Provide technical guidance to technicians, assist with diagnosing issues, and ensure repairs are completed according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate workshop records and reports, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Mechanical and automotiv qualification. strong technical knowledge is required.
• Leadership: The ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team effectively is crucial.
• Communication: Strong communication skills are needed to liaise with staff, customers, and management.
• Planning & Prioritization: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and resources effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and find solutions to operational challenges.
• 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE preferrable in Oil & gas sector
