Workshop Supervisor

Job Objective


To supervise and ensure the effective execution of daily, scheduled, and preventive maintenance activities for waste collection vehicles, equipment, and tools, achieving maximum fleet readiness, minimal downtime, and uninterrupted operational continuity. Oversee the technical team, enforce compliance with OEM standards and safety protocols, coordinate accident recovery, and manage workshop tools and spare parts inventory. Drive operational improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and service quality, with the ultimate aim of supporting reliable, cost-effective, and high-performance waste collection services.


  • Supervise the execution of daily and preventive maintenance tasks for fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring fleet readiness, minimizing downtime, and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Supervise urgent repairs, accidents, and breakdowns, prioritizing critical repairs and ensuring alignment with field and transport teams, reducing service disruptions and ensuring timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to the workshop team of technicians, including mechanics, electricians, and welders, to ensure maintenance tasks and proper repair of vehicles and waste management equipment are executed to OEM standards, meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical, electrical, and structural faults on fleet and waste management equipment, ensuring minimal downtime; escalate unresolved issues to the Workshop Executive for timely resolution and support diagnosing complex issues.
  • Maintain adherence to OEM standards, dealership terms and conditions, repair quality, and safety protocols on the workshop floor, guiding technicians to meet required standards and warranty conditions.



Qualification

  • A minimum of a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably, a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably, professional certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline, demonstrating technical competence in vehicle systems, maintenance operations, and workshop processes essential for managing workshop performance and ensuring fleet readiness.
