Role Overview

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities for Alpha Advanced's fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring maximum availability, reliability, and safety of all assets in accordance with company standards and HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy equipment (excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, etc.)
Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and ensure fleet readiness
Lead, direct, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with manufacturer specifications and company standards
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, raising purchase requests as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and job cards for all equipment
Conduct regular inspections of equipment before and after rental deployment
Enforce strict HSE practices within the workshop at all times
Liaise with operations and rental teams to prioritize equipment turnaround based on client demands
Identify recurring technical issues and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required
Prepare regular reports on fleet condition, maintenance costs, and team performance

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, or a related field
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Hands-on knowledge of excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, and similar construction machinery
Familiarity with major OEM brands (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of HSE regulations and safe workshop practices
Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
Good organizational and leadership skills
