Workshop Supervisor – Al Safi Danone (ASD)

Location: Al Kharj – Farm

Department: Maintenance and Utilities – Workshop Section


Role Summary

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for supervising workshop operations and ensuring the efficient maintenance of diesel engines and heavy machinery. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with deep technical knowledge in maintenance planning, scheduling, and equipment repair. The position also focuses on supporting technicians, monitoring maintenance activities, and ensuring work is completed according to required standards.


Key Accountabilities

Maintenance Planning

• Develop maintenance schedules (Preventive & Corrective), and spare parts plan & control.

• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are properly scheduled and executed to reduce equipment breakdowns and downtime.

• Coordinate maintenance planning activities to ensure workshop operations support overall farm operational requirements.


Workshop Operations

• Delegate tasks, support technicians, Diesel engines, and heavy machinery.

• Provide guidance and technical support to technicians performing maintenance and repair activities.

• Ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed when working on heavy and light equipment.


Team Supervision

• Ability to work hands on and retain practical skills, train the workshop teams.

• Supervise workshop technicians and support them in performing their daily duties effectively.

• Provide training and guidance to improve technical skills and operational performance of the workshop team.


Monitoring & Performance Control

• Monitor: Check progress, quality, and adherence to standards.

• Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to quality requirements and operational standards.

• Track work progress and ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time.


Continuous Improvement

• Improve: implement strategies to enhance efficiency, safety and service quality.

• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and workshop productivity.

• Support initiatives that improve safety practices and service performance within workshop operations.


Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Heavy Equipment preferred)

• 5–7 years of experience in heavy equipment or workshop maintenance

• Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy machinery

• Experience supervising technicians

• SAP knowledge preferred

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills

• High English proficiency
