Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Test Preparation Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and working with diverse student populations. This role involves creating engaging learning experiences, utilizing learning technology, and fostering a positive classroom environment. The Tutor will work closely with students of various ages, including early childhood and preschool levels, to improve their test-taking skills and overall academic performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized curriculum plans tailored to individual student needs
• Design engaging lessons that incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on test preparation strategies
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a supportive learning environment
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust lesson plans accordingly
• Support students in developing literacy skills, writing skills, and subject-specific knowledge
• Work with children of different age groups, including early childhood and preschool students
• Incorporate classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and focus during sessions
• Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate student progress and areas for improvement
• Utilize experience in special education to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs

Experience

• Proven background in tutoring or teaching
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
• Familiarity with learning technology tools used for educational purposes
• Knowledge of literacy education, special education practices, and working with students with diverse needs
• Multilingual abilities such as Mandarin, French, Japanese, or English are a plus
• Strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging educational content
• Previous experience working with children in classroom or childcare environments is preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 10.0 per week
