Yacht Master Captain

Position: Yacht Master Captain (Private Luxury Yacht – 90+ ft)

We are seeking an exceptionally qualified and experienced Yacht Master Captain to command a private luxury yacht exceeding 90 feet in length, operating primarily across the Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, and Indian Ocean.

This is a family-owned yacht used for private cruising and entertaining guests. The role requires world-class seamanship, impeccable leadership, refined hospitality standards, and full yacht management capability.

Key Responsibilities

Vessel Command & Navigation

• Full command and safe operation of a 90+ ft luxury yacht across international waters
• Voyage planning and execution in:
• Arabian / Persian Gulf
• Mediterranean Sea
• Indian Ocean
• Compliance with all Flag State, Port State, and international maritime regulations
• Advanced weather routing, passage planning, and navigational risk management

Yacht Management & Operations

• Overall responsibility for yacht operations, maintenance, and readiness
• Budgeting, cost control, and procurement management
• Oversight of refits, dry docking, and technical maintenance
• Liaison with yacht management companies, shipyards, agents, and authorities
• ISM, ISPS (if applicable), and safety management implementation

Crew Leadership & Training

• Recruitment, leadership, and performance management of crew
• Establishing a professional onboard culture aligned with luxury standards
• Crew training in safety, service, and etiquette
• Ensuring strict adherence to maritime safety drills and procedures

Hospitality & Guest Experience

• Delivering ultra-high-end hospitality standards for family and guests
• Ensuring discretion, privacy, and impeccable etiquette at all times
• Coordinating guest itineraries, activities, and onboard service excellence
• Acting as the senior host onboard while maintaining command authority

Mandatory Certifications & Qualifications

The candidate must hold internationally recognized certifications allowing unrestricted navigation in the Gulf, Mediterranean, and Indian Ocean:

Certificates of Competency

• Master (Yacht) 3000 GT or higher
• Master Mariner (Unlimited)
• RYA Yachtmaster Ocean (Commercially Endorsed) with proven large-yacht command experience

STCW & Safety Certifications

• STCW 2010 Basic Safety Training
• Advanced Fire Fighting
• Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB)
• Medical Care Onboard Ship
• GMDSS General Operator Certificate (GOC)

Additional Required Credentials

• Valid Flag State Endorsement
• ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate
• Valid international passport with unrestricted travel capability
• Clean maritime record and strong professional references

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years of professional yachting experience
• Proven Captain experience on yachts 90 ft / 27 m and above
• Demonstrated experience navigating:
• Shallow and high-traffic Gulf waters
• Mediterranean ports and marinas
• Open-sea and Indian Ocean passages
• Prior experience with private family yachts (not charter-only profiles preferred)
