Overview:

The Yard Helper is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

Assist in oil and gas field maintenance per Foreman instructions.
Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on equipment.
Conduct major and minor equipment repairs and report spills and leaks.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Understand pipe sizing and accurately count pipe.
Safely operate a forklift.
Follow, plan, and schedule daily activities as directed by the Supervisor.
Load and unload service trucks and trash bins safely.
Apply working knowledge of oil & gas repair policies and safe work practices.
Troubleshoot and repair basic production equipment.

Qualifications:

5+ years of Oil & Gas Maintenance experience required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Working knowledge of oil & gas maintenance processes.
Oil and gas production operations experience preferred (training available for acceptable candidates).
Ability to work overtime, holidays, and be available for call-outs as required.
Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs occasionally, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 10-20 lbs constantly.
Ability to work at heights above six feet and balance on uneven surfaces.
Physical capability for stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, and reaching.
Must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
