As a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry we have the privilege of tailoring our store to meet our community needs. In addition to providing the community with their hardware needs we also sell lumber, fence, tack, fertilizer and Purina Feed.

General Summary

The Yard Sales Associate/Delivery Driver is responsible to deliver lumber, feed, fencing and building materials to customers’ job sites. Working in the yard handling inventory and assisting customers while in yard. Loading trucks for deliveries and maintaining equipment. Loading customer vehicles while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a positive representation of MJK Sales & Feed, Inc -Ace Hardware.

• Greet customers entering yard and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are

leaving the store.

• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.

• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.

• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.

• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store/yard layout and location of products.

• Assist with receiving, checking in deliveries ensuring shipments are correct.

• Operate forklifts.

• Assist with counting and maintaining inventory, and keeping the yard neat, clean, orderly and safe.

• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the yard, warehouse and equipment.

• Maintain proper training certifications to perform job duties such as forklift certification and propane fill certification.

• Observe all safety rules and regulations, and take prompt corrective action concerning any potential safety hazard.

• Ensure signage is current throughout the yard.

• Participate in store meetings.

• Be professional in appearance and actions.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Training

High School or GED equivalent.

Experience

Ranching and construction experience is a plus.

Lumber, fencing and building material knowledge preferred.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, lifting (up to 90lbs) and climbing.

Other Requirements:

Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug test.

Good verbal, written and math skills.

Must be 18 years old or older.
