Yard Supervisor & CAD Designer

Purpose
Lead daily operations in a distribution environment while also supporting engineering with accurate CAD erection drawings. This hybrid role balances supervisory responsibility in yard operations with technical drafting support for EFCO forming systems.

Essential Functions
### Yard Supervisor – 80%

Logistics Coordination (25%):
Monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including job pulls and truck loading. Ensure timely and accurate processing of materials.

Inventory & Accuracy (20%):
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, organization practices, and documentation of all incoming/outgoing goods.

Leadership (15%):
Lead, schedule, and supervise yard staff. Maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching, resolve issues, and ensure team alignment with EFCO Core Values.

Safety & Compliance (10%):
Reinforce safe work practices and regulatory compliance. Lead by example in maintaining yard cleanliness and safety standards.

Communication & Reporting (10%):
Maintain clear communication with sales and distribution leadership. Support reporting of productivity metrics and yard performance.

### CAD Designer – 20%

Erection Drawings (10%):
Create basic erection drawings for standard and custom projects under supervision. Follow EFCO procedures, collaborate with engineers, and ensure accuracy.

Equipment Support (5%):
Assist with equipment list setup and adjustments for assigned jobs. Ensure project alignment with district requirements.

Learning & Development (5%):
Participate in training to expand CAD knowledge, EFCO product familiarity, and problem-solving skills. Contribute creatively to design solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAD experience is required, and Revit experience is preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in yard/distribution operations with 3+ years of forklift experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with ability to supervise yard teams effectively.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic CAD software. Experience using Microsoft suite, and ability to learn internal systems.
• Other Requirements: Mechanical aptitude and math skills; strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in physical yard conditions.
