Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator - Offshore Wind Operations

Position Overview

This Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator role is integral to supporting offshore wind operations through comprehensive coordination of port operations, procurement, warehouse, and logistics functions. The position encompasses maintaining port compliance documentation while providing hands-on support during vessel loading activities and cargo coordination. You will oversee the full procurement cycle from processing purchase orders through delivery tracking and invoice reconciliation, ensuring timely material availability while identifying cost-saving opportunities. The role requires supervision of warehouse operations including inventory control of PPE and offshore equipment, preparation of personnel equipment kits, and coordination of offshore-bound cargo shipments. Additionally, you will orchestrate material staging and distribution activities, maintain accurate tracking systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast requirements and enhance operational processes. This dynamic position requires someone who can balance administrative precision with operational urgency, handling both physical warehouse activities and complex procurement processes while ensuring strict compliance with port regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical link between shore-based operations and offshore installations, coordinating with port authorities, vessel crews, vendors, and project teams to ensure seamless material flow and operational readiness.

Employment Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Hourly Rate: $25-40/hour based on experience
  • Overtime: Available (time-and-a-half for hours over 40/week)
  • Annual Salary Range: $52,000-$83,200 base (higher with overtime)
  • Location: Lamberts Point Docks (Fairwinds Landing)
  • Schedule: Full-time, may require flexibility based on vessel schedules

Primary Responsibilities

Port Operations

  • Prepare, submit, and maintain all port compliance documentation for personnel and cargo operations
  • Provide onsite support during vessel loading activities
  • Escort personnel through port facilities as required
  • Coordinate port calls and vessel logistics activities

Procurement Management

  • Process all procurement requests ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders from initiation to delivery
  • Monitor orders to guarantee timely delivery and mitigate delays
  • Resolve discrepancies in purchasing, invoicing, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and tracking systems
  • Generate reports on process improvements
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee inventory management of PPE, workwear, and offshore equipment
  • Coordinate with Procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Prepare and issue PPE kits for offshore personnel
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse facilities
  • Manage waste disposal and implement safe storage practices
  • Coordinate preparation and shipment of offshore-bound cargo
  • Coordinate inbounding of shipments from offshore sites

Logistics Support

  • Manage offshore distribution activities including staging, labeling, and record-keeping
  • Support material handling and inventory management
  • Enhance processes for inventory control and vendor management
  • Participate in project planning meetings for procurement forecasting
  • Support cross-functional collaboration for operational reporting

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • 3+ years of warehouse supervision or logistics coordination experience
  • Experience with inventory management systems and procurement software
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and database management
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification (sit-down and/or stand-up)
  • Experience in maritime, port, or offshore operations
  • Familiarity with maritime vessel operations
  • Knowledge of port compliance and safety regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Education in logistics, supply chain, or related field
  • Additional material handling equipment certifications

  • Physical demands include lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • Required to wear PPE in designated areas
  • Work in secure port facilities requiring TWIC compliance
