YKids - Lead Teacher

Are you passionate about helping kids grow, learn, and thrive? Join our team as a Lead Teacher in the YMCA’s YKids Program and make a lasting impact in the lives of children every day!

We’re looking for energetic, caring, and creative individuals to lead engaging activities, foster a safe and welcoming classroom, and support the development of children from kindergarten through age 12. You’ll be writing and implementing lesson plans that focus on social-emotional learning and group games—because we believe play is powerful!

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years experience in child care or working with elementary-aged children
• Must pass BCI/FBI background checks
• Must obtain a physician-signed medical statement
• Completion of CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse & Communicable Disease training within 60 days of hire
• Shift: 3:15 - 6pm Monday through Friday (with additional time for school days off such as snow days and school breaks).
