Young Adult Director

Christians Engaged, a ministry of Family Policy Alliance, exists to awaken, motivate, and educate Christians to pray for our nation and elected officials, vote in every election, and engage our hearts in civic education.

Position Overview

The Young Adult Director will lead the national strategy, recruitment, discipleship, content development, and mobilization efforts for Christians Engaged’s 1630 Initiative, focused on engaging 16–30-year-olds. This role is both visionary and execution-focused — responsible for building a thriving national pipeline of young adults who are actively engaged in prayer, voting, civic education, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Program Development

• Develop and execute national strategy for engaging 16–30-year-olds.
• Organize and lead the 1630 Steering Committee (monthly meetings).
• Collaborate closely with the President and internal teams (Education & Marketing).
• Stay current on cultural and political trends impacting young adults.

2. Recruitment & Mobilization

• Recruit and mentor young adults into CE programs, classes, and events (including Campaign School)
• Fill scholarships and lead recruitment for annual 1630 Washington, DC trips.
• Organize and recruit for the annual 1630 Leadership Retreat.
• Conduct outreach at conferences, conventions, youth and ministry events.
• Develop and grow a national 1630 Ambassador network.

3. Content Creation & Communications

• Oversee the CE1630 website and social media channels (with contractors).
• Create biweekly episodes of The 1630 Show.
• Write and publish one article per month for the 1630 blog.
• Develop short-form video content and curriculum-based resources for young adults.
• Assist in developing targeted email communications for the 1630 audience segment.

4. Public Speaking

• Serve as a national speaker for youth groups, churches, campuses, and conferences.
• Proactively pursue booking opportunities for speaking engagements.

5. Donor & Partner Development

• Build relationships with ministry partners supporting the 1630 initiative.
• Create quarterly reports, testimonials, and highlight videos for supporters.
• Identify and cultivate new funding partners.
• Work alongside the CE President to grow program resources year-over-year.

Qualifications

• A mature, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with the ministry’s Statement of Faith and core beliefs.
• Bachelor’s degree or ministry school equivalent (salary commensurate with experience and education).
• Experience in speaking, writing, mentoring, mobilization, or project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Content creation experience (video, writing, social media).
• Basic understanding of government and civic processes.
• Fundraising or donor development experience preferred.
• Technologically proficient (Microsoft 365; CRM experience preferred).
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment & Travel

• Remote position (within the United States) with a well-equipped home office.
• Occasional national travel for speaking engagements, conferences, DC trips, and team gatherings.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
