Youth Council & Communications Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION

The GPCA  Youth Council & Communications Coordinator  will lead the planning, management, and execution of all youth-focused initiatives at GPCA, including the  GPCA Youth Forum, Leaders of Tomorrow (LoT) program, student competitions, and ongoing Youth Council projects .

This full-time role requires a proactive, organized, and creative individual who can coordinate between GPCA and the Youth Council, manage youth programs end-to-end, and ensure impactful communication and visibility across media, social platforms, and stakeholder networks.

The ideal candidate is passionate about youth empowerment, skilled in project and event management, and experienced in communications and public relations.

ROLE DETAIL Youth Council Leadership & Coordination
  • Serve as the primary coordinator between GPCA and its Youth Council, ensuring alignment on priorities, projects, and deliverables.
  • Lead the development and execution of the  GPCA Youth Forum , including program design, speaker/student engagement, and event delivery.
  • Manage the  Leaders of Tomorrow (LoT)  program across universities in the GCC, building strong relationships with academic institutions, professors, and student bodies.
  • Organize and deliver  student competitions , including the Carbon Neutrality Cup and other innovation-driven challenges.
  • Facilitate and track all ongoing Youth Council projects, ensuring milestones and KPIs are met.
Communications, PR & Social Media
  • Develop and implement communications strategies to highlight GPCA’s youth initiatives to industry stakeholders, media, and the wider community.
  • Draft press releases, articles, and digital content promoting youth programs and events.
  • Oversee social media campaigns related to youth initiatives, ensuring high visibility, engagement, and consistent GPCA branding.
  • Coordinate interviews and media opportunities with youth representatives, industry leaders, and council members.
Event Management & Project Delivery
  • Plan, organize, and execute youth-related events (e.g., forums, workshops, competitions, university outreach, council meetings).
  • Work closely with event producers, communications colleagues, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of youth programs.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships for youth-related initiatives.
  • Conduct post-event reviews and reporting, analyzing impact and capturing learnings for future improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, NGOs, student groups, industry leaders, and government partners.
  • Serve as a point of contact for youth-related collaborations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Benchmark GPCA’s youth programs against global best practices, ensuring innovation and continuous improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in communications, youth engagement, event/project management, or stakeholder relations.
  • Strong track record in  event delivery , from concept through to execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an asset).
  • Social media management experience with proven results in engagement and visibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working with youth councils, universities, or community initiatives preferred.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
