Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health guidelines, conducting first aid when necessary, and maintaining a secure environment.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or additional behavioral support.
- Facilitate sports coaching, arts and theater projects, tutoring sessions, or other recreational programs that foster creativity and physical activity.
- Maintain detailed records of attendance, progress notes, incident reports, and activity evaluations.
- Support children’s early childhood education by implementing curriculum plans aligned with developmental milestones.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or youth in educational, childcare, camp, or recreational settings.
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or childhood development are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt activities for diverse learning needs including those requiring accommodations for special education.
- Enthusiasm for working with children of all ages in dynamic environments such as daycare centers or summer camps.
