Youth Services Intern (LCI) 16.85 hours - Summer 2026

WORK LOCATION: Howell Branch - 806 Lyons Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22406

STARTING SALARY: $16.65/hour

TOTAL HOURS: 16.85 hours; No more than 19 hours per week. Ability to travel to several different locations across Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, Westmoreland County, and City of Fredericksburg.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Assist with various aspects of Youth Services programming for children and teens to gain an introduction to public library service to youth.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Ability to provide a safe and educational environment for children and teens, and assist with a variety of tasks related to classes and programs for youth, including research, development, and facilitation of activities for children and teens; computer assistance for children and teens, and special projects.

INTERNSHIP END DATE: Summer internship running from mid-May to mid-August 2026.
