 Position Summary
 
 
 We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments, and assisting with month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in accounts payable, and a commitment to accuracy.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities

 Process high-volume vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.

 Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.

 Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and process annual 1099 filings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with journal entries and other accounting tasks as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
 </li>

 Preferred Skills

 Our client in the Dallas area is seeking an AP Specialist to join their AP Department!
 
 
 
 
 The AP Specialist will have experience in the following.
 
 
 
 Duties and responsibilities include:

 Process a high volume of AP transactions, including international invoices
 </li>
 <li>
 Review invoices to ensure accurate GL coding and vendor terms
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain reconciliations on vendor statements and accounts

 Perform vendor maintenance including new vendor setup and W9s
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with vendors and third parties to resolve account and payment issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and audit vendor invoices to resolve discrepancies

 Requirements:

 The role
 
 
 As Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead a team of 3, ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, and implement process improvements. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting month-end close activities.
 
 
 
 What you'll do

 Lead and mentor a team of 3 AP specialists, providing guidance and support on daily operations

 Oversee the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and invoice processing, including ACH and wire payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance

 Review and approve 3-way matching (invoice, purchase order, and receiving report) and resolve discrepancies

 Manage vendor accounts, reconcile statements, and maintain strong relationships

 Assist with month-end close, including accruals, reporting, and workflow improvements
