Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the development of our youngest learners. As a leader in early childhood education, you will collaborate with families and team members to support each child's unique developmental journey while ensuring adherence to best practices in childcare and classroom management.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development principles.</li><li>Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and physical development aligned with Montessori or other educational philosophies.</li><li>Oversee classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment conducive to learning and exploration.</li><li>Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs, and support early intervention strategies when necessary.</li><li>Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns to ensure high-quality instruction and adherence to childcare standards.</li><li>Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor lesson plans accordingly.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, specifically with toddlers aged 1-3 years old.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.</li><li>Background in early childhood education certifications such as CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent preferred..</li><li>Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.</li><li>Prior leadership experience as a lead teacher or supervisor in a childcare environment is advantageous. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the holistic growth of infants. Your leadership will ensure that each child's developmental needs are met through innovative teaching strategies, effective classroom management, and collaborative teamwork. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners during their most formative years.Responsibilities<ul><li>Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants&rsquo; individual needs, incorporating curriculum development principles and early childhood education best practices.</li><li>Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, including literacy education and physical education.</li><li>Manage classroom environment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization in accordance with childcare standards and child welfare policies.</li><li>Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality classroom management and childcare standards.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.</li><li>Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse learning needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation related to child development assessments, standardized testing results, and lesson planning records.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, particularly in toddler care or preschool environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.</li><li>Prior classroom management experience with a focus on creating inclusive and nurturing learning environments.</li><li>Familiarity with childcare licensing regulations, daycare standards, and child welfare policies.</li><li>Lead teachers must possess sixty semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or One year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or Completion of credentialing programs approved by DCFS.</li></ul>Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
