Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the development of our youngest learners. In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic classroom environment, fostering early childhood education through innovative lesson planning, engaging activities, and personalized care. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a warm, safe, and stimulating space where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. As a leader in early childhood education, you will collaborate with families and team members to support each child's unique developmental journey while ensuring adherence to best practices in childcare and classroom management.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development principles.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and physical development aligned with Montessori or other educational philosophies.
  • Oversee classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs, and support early intervention strategies when necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns to ensure high-quality instruction and adherence to childcare standards.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor lesson plans accordingly.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, specifically with toddlers aged 1-3 years old.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Background in early childhood education certifications such as CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent preferred..
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
