</b></h2></div><p></p><div><div>This position performs highly skilled technical and administrative work in a wide variety of functions in support the efficient operations of the assigned department; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of a department supervisor.</div><div><b><br>
Essential Functions</b></div>
Work will be specialized according to the assigned department. The following essential job functions are representative of the type of tasks that may be performed on a daily basis:<br>

Provides administrative support, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Prepares reports, presentations, correspondence, and other communication materials related to departmental activities.</li><li>
Interacts with customers, contractors, vendors, and citizens, answering questions, and resolving issues.</li><li>
Operates standard office, personal computer, and related equipment.</li><li>
Participates in cross-functional teams and committees to address operational challenges and initiatives.</li><li>
Assists with project management activities, including scheduling, budget tracking, and resource allocation.</li><li>
Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for operations staff.</li><li>
Develops and maintains databases and spreadsheets to track and analyze data.</li><li>
Reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established standards and policies.</li><li>
Analyzes operational data and generates reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring.</li><li>
Coordinates work orders and service requests, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.</li><li>
Operates radio dispatching and follows up on work order status as assigned.</li><li>
Provides technical support and assistance to field personnel as assigned.</li><li>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS</b></h2></div>
<div><p><b>Education and Experience:</b><br>
A high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of experience as an Operations Support Specialist I or equivalent. Experience in project management is preferred.<br>

Physical Demands</b></div>
The work is light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The work requires mental acuity including the ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:<br>

Hearing: Required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.</li><li>
Manual Dexterity: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.</li><li>
Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.</li><li>
Vocal Communication: Required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.</li><li>

This position is part of the Qualification Advancement Program. To advance to Operations Support Specialist II, an employee must complete two years of service as an Operations Support Specialist I and demonstrate proficiency in all essential functions of that role.</b><div><b><br>
