This paid position offers valuable hands-on experience across multiple specialties, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide chairside support during dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, passing instruments, and managing materials efficiently</li><li>Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with radiation safety standards and HIPAA regulations</li><li>Accurately document patient information, treatment notes, and medical histories using EMR systems such as Dentrix</li><li>Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature</li><li>Prepare patients for procedures by clearly explaining treatments and ensuring their comfort</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment through proper sterilization, aseptic techniques, and biohazard disposal</li><li>Assist with front office duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information</li><li>Support pediatric procedures using age-appropriate communication to create a positive experience for younger patients</li><li>Utilize advanced technology such as 3D scanners and digital imaging tools</li><li>Safeguard patient confidentiality and ensure full compliance with HIPAA guidelines</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in a dental office preferred, especially in general or pediatric dentistry</li><li>Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry</li><li>Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and sterilization practices</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix.</li><li>Experience taking dental radiographs in accordance with safety standards</li><li>Familiarity with dental coding and documentation is a plus</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and excellent patient care</li></ul>Join a team committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality dental care while utilizing modern technology to improve patient outcomes.Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hourWork Location: In person

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to oral health excellence.Duties<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures.</li><li>Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, managing suction, and ensuring patient comfort through chairside assistance.</li><li>Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners, while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.</li><li>Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients requiring pediatric dentistry or specialized care such as prosthodontics or endodontics.</li><li>Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed.</li><li>Maintain a clean and sterile environment following infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and disposal of biohazard materials.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.</li><li>Proficiency in Dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.</li><li>Certification in X-ray techniques and knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.</li><li>Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent patient rapport.</li><li>Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on delivering outstanding patient care.
