Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor (Projects)Location: TharparkarIndustry: Industrial / Mechanical Construction / ProjectsEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob PurposeThe Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and executing mechanical construction project activities, including conveyors, silos, steel structures, piping, and rotary and stationary equipment installation. The role ensures safe, timely, and quality execution of mechanical works in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and HSE standards while supporting overall project objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision &amp; ExecutionSupervise mechanical construction activities including erection of structures, equipment installation, piping, conveyors, and mechanical systems.Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and project standards.Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.Inspection, Testing &amp; QA/QCConduct regular inspections to verify quality and readiness for commissioning.Perform functional testing and calibration of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, and valves.Review QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and test certificates.Identify faults and coordinate corrective actions.Safety &amp; ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to HSE policies, including work at height, confined space, hot work, lifting, and rigging.Enforce PPE usage and safety permit systems.Stop work in case of safety violations or non-compliance with OEM recommendations.Documentation &amp; ReportingMaintain accurate site records, inspection logs, testing reports, and progress updates.Prepare daily and weekly project status reports highlighting issues and milestones.Coordination &amp; CollaborationCoordinate with engineering, civil, E&amp;I, HSE, maintenance, warehouse, and operations teams.Provide technical support to contractors and site teams.Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment availability with procurement and warehouse teams.Commissioning &amp; Emergency ResponseAssist in commissioning and system integration activities.Act as first responder during mechanical breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs.Education &amp; QualificationsMinimum: DAE / B.Tech in Mechanical EngineeringRelevant technical certifications will be an advantage.Experience Required5&ndash;10 years of experience in mechanical construction projects.Hands-on experience with conveyors, silos, steel structures, piping, and rotary &amp; stationary equipment.Strong knowledge of mechanical alignment, installation, troubleshooting, and bulk material handling systems.Key Skills &amp; CompetenciesMechanical installation &amp; commissioningQA/QC &amp; inspection proceduresStrong HSE awarenessProject coordination &amp; reportingContractor supervisionProblem-solving &amp; troubleshootingAbility to work in multicultural environmentsKey ChallengesEnsuring HSE compliance across site teams.Managing material inspections and genuine spare identification.Decision-Making AuthorityStop work in case of safety violations or OEM non-compliance.Technical decisions related to mechanical installation and inspection.Equipment operation start/stop during project execution.Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs180,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
