Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
1. Maintenance & Reliability
- Support execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on electrical systems
- Assist in troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and improve MTBF / MTTR
- Contribute to achieving high equipment availability and efficiency
2. Plant Operations Support
- Provide on-ground support during breakdowns and shutdowns
- Monitor performance of motors, drives, panels, and instrumentation systems
- Ensure smooth operation of key utilities (compressors, HVAC, pumps, electrical distribution systems)
3. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and Unilever safety policies
- Support implementation of safety improvements and hazard identification
- Follow GMP, ISO, and engineering standards during maintenance tasks
4. Continuous Improvement & Digitalization
- Support loss reduction initiatives (downtime, energy, wastage)
- Assist in basic automation and control system improvements (PLC/DCS exposure)
- Participate in implementation of digital tools (CMMS, condition monitoring systems)
5. Project & Capex Support
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and FAT activities for new equipment
- Support minor capex execution and engineering modifications
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors during project execution
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain electrical drawings, SOPs, and maintenance records
- Support preparation of reports on equipment performance and faults
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in maintenance systems
SPEL Framework
Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and control circuits
- Understanding of maintenance concepts (PM, RCA, breakdown analysis)
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Basic exposure to PLC/Switchgear systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
Profession (Technical Mastery)
- Application of electrical engineering fundamentals in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of plant utilities and electrical distribution systems
- Exposure to TPM / Reliability frameworks and continuous improvement tools
Experience
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience in FMCG / process industry
- Exposure to automation, maintenance systems, or industrial projects
- Located in Rahim Yar Khan
