Electrical / Electronics Engineering

• Assist in the execution of AMI/AMR project activities as per project plans and contract requirements.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing of AMI smart meters, communication modules, DCUs, APMS, and associated equipment under supervision of senior engineers.Perform on-site meter installation checks and basic functional testing.
• Coordinate with field teams for day-to-day installation, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance activities and submit report to HOD.
• Assist in analyzing meter communication failures and follow up with technical teams for resolution.Support site surveys and pre-installation assessments at project locations.
• Prepare daily installation and commissioning progress reports for review by the project lead.Assist in preparing commissioning reports, site acceptance reports, and related project documentation.
• Follow HSE requirements and safe working practices at all project sites. Maintain and update inventory records of meters, communication modules, and installation materials.Provide basic technical support to utility field staff during installation and commissioning.

Required Skills:

• B.Sc. Electrical / Electronics Engineering (2–3 years relevant experience)
• Basic knowledge of AMI/AMR systems and smart meters
• Understanding of GSM/GPRS/ communication
• Ability to troubleshoot field-level installation and communication issues
• MS Office (Word/Excel) for reporting and documentation
• Willingness to travel to project sites across DISCOs
• Good communication and teamwork skills
